Sonar training

At fire dept. Breukelen we have provided sonar training. They use sonar on their boat to locate missing persons and objects. This way they are able to cover large area and save their divers for hotspot diving and areas where the boat is not able to navigate. These firemen are trained to understand and interpret sonar images provided by their Lowrance sonar system. Allowing them to map the lakebed and identify the object or person missing. We provide the operators with sonar training so that they know all the need to know about sonar and the interpretation of sonar imagery.

Side scan sonar is a useful tool for scanning the sea bottom to search for missing persons. But to do so proper sonar training is needed. The technology uses sound waves to create detailed images of the ocean floor, which can reveal objects or anomalies that may be of interest to search and rescue teams.

By analyzing these images, divers and other searchers can identify potential targets for further investigation, potentially leading to the discovery of missing persons. However, side scan sonar is not a foolproof method and requires skilled operators and appropriate equipment to be effective.

I provide sonar training aimed at the search of objects on the seabed. This can be using classical sidescan, SAS sonar or a forward looking sonar. Training is aimed at getting familiar with the technique behind the sonardata provided. This all will be combined with common practise when performing sonar operations.

My trainings are commonly given on a location of the customers choice. As it adds vallue to train in the waters you will work in we try to provide the training at a location of the customers choosing. This can be anywhere in the world.

Yes, i can provide you with ROV training aimed at governmental and inspection use of an ROV. I find it important to mention that i aim at search, identifying and recovering objects and do not aim at offshore duties other then inspection class vehicles.

I am familiar with several different vehicles and assets. Small sized Auv’s, medium sized Auv’s, USBL systems, INS systems. This is a small part of the devices I work with on a weekly bases.
